Craziness in our stars

So now I've grown a little wiser, a lot older, and maybe not as petite as before.

As I make time this beautiful Saturday evening, the sun is nearing the horizon and the breeze is kindly swinging the swing for me. I love this…..and realised that the past year or so, I've been so busy, I've forgotten to make time for me.

But no regrets for the busy-ness. It has been very productive. My son in university (I did fall sick for 2 days the first time he left the house), my baby girl got maximum 11 As for her PT3 exams (crazy!) and my PhD student graduated (thank God!, I was afraid I might have botched the supervision) and we got plenty of papers published. The department is growing in numbers, the service is expanding and we haven't had anyone quit on us yet. Patients seem to love what we offer them, and I believe we are making a difference.

I'm happy.

But the craziest thing of all, I will be promoted and the new job begins next week. I will hold one of the top 6 position at the faculty, being a deputy to my dean. How crazy is that? Never in my wildest dream did I imagine something as such, and definitely not a career position I was aiming for. But Allah knows best, and the opportunity and trust has been given to me.

Funny how things unfold. Pray that I can do the job well, and I'm excited to use the position to embark on bigger and more crazier things!

Petite n Powerful 2; The Revival

I missed out on posting anything in 2015 entirely! Not that nothing happened, but too many things happened at once that I lost track of time.

Why a new blog? I thought it would be nice to start volume 2. But yet, liked the petite n powerful title, so I am keeping it.

And last, but not least, I forgot my password to the old blog. (the real reason but I am in denial that the memory cells are depleting)

Some creative writing and updates coming soon. (This is a wee writing break from my academic writing).
